I was watching for gold in the shallow water as I floated down the river on my tube. It was idyllic ... birds trilling, clouds reflecting, light refracting through the water making patterns on the river bed... I saw the yellow agate... no not alchemy... then I heard the words - "The Day Is The Gold" – I realized God was telling me to treasure each moment in time. The real gold is the time we have and how we live in it.

Your beautiful photo gallery and videos brought me back into my stillness. It is marvelous to just leave the human part to rest for awhile and enter into the trueness of being! Thank you for sharing the collective spirit!

Thank you, Wanda - means so much to me coming from you! That's how I feel about the river and outdoors. I can be all frazzled, then spend a little time in nature, and things come back into focus again. I was hoping my gallery would reflect some of the quiet and peace I feel when I'm out there taking photos. Maybe it goes back to when we were young and hiked for miles in the canyons of the high desert plateau. Maybe it was the 360-degree view of the sun rising over the horizon, we woke up to every morning that made me fall in love with all this beauty everywhere. I know you understand what I mean, because it is part of the fabric of our nature. I’m So glad to share this with you.

Yes it was wonderful to have had such freedom to explore and experience such beauty ...turned out to have lasted me my lifetime! The older I get the more precious it is to me. I am so deeply touched to have you...something so special can only truly be known by someone who shared it with.

I feel the same way. :) Can't wait for you to visit again so we can play in the Umatilla and go adventuring!
